I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last update...way too many things going on!!! I'll try to pick up where I left off...we did move Mom Peters to Rosewood over the Labor Day weekend. And had a Birthday get-together with Jim and Vonnie Lash...lots of fun...and Vonnie is now a year older :)

September 24th was a SOLVE beach clean up for me...I volunteered for Seaside Beach. It wasn't raining and we picked up lots of junk! You can view it on SOLVE's web site.

The next day we took Jim & Vonnie to Seattle (Jazz Alley) for a Brian Culbertson concert!!! And we got to visit with their son Eric at his place in Auburn. We stayed overnight in Renton, WA.

Mom Peters 90th Birthday was on Tuesday, September 27th...Carol picked up Mom and we had dinner and cake with the Lash's and Rangel's.

Carol's Birthday was on September 30th...but, we celebrated early with the Lash's on September 24th. Jim fixed dinner at their place...roast turkey..mmmmm!

Last weekend, October 1st, we picked up Mike and Sheri Dyer flew into Portland for the weekend. The main object was to see as much of the Oregon culture as possible. So, we picked them up at the airport and headed for Multnomah Falls. Once we got there, we took the trails to the top of the falls. Then, on to Mount Hood...Timberline Lodge. We saw some snow fall...but, it didn't stick...too warm.
We came down from the mountain and drove to visit Mom Peters. Sunday, we got up and headed west to Lincoln City. The Christmas Cottage was our first stop...love that place!!! We drove up the coast to Tillamook and visited the cheese factory (great ice cream!!!). Then on to Cannon Beach where we walked on the beach and ate at Mo's. Carol and I had Monday off and we drove around Portland and visited Pittock Mansion. In the evening, we went to the Blazer's first pre-season basketball game against the Utah Jazz. Good game...we won by 9 points. Back to work for Carol and me on Tuesday. And Mike and Sheri rented a car and drove to Seattle.
More news and pictures soon!
