Just a couple of past pictures of Seaside, OR. March 30th is the Spring Clean Up and we're signed up! Lots of debris coming from Japan.

This post is to prove that I actually do work on my own van :)  You can't see the jack stands, but I keep the jack in position for safety reasons. Brakes are good - front and rear, exhaust is good, rotated

tires, packed the front wheel bearings. Then I came into the house, took a shower and watched highlites of the Nationwide race - what a wreck on the last lap!!! Some of the fans are still in the hospital with injuries from debris that came off of Larson's car. Not much left of his car!

Carol fixed an awesome dinner, Jim & Vonnie Lash came over with outrageous dessert - and we played pinochle (men rule). We're on the road next weekend, more to come.

I added to my collection of Jeff Gordon cars last week. This is a 2012  Color Chrome AARP /Drive To End Hunger Chevy Impala. Usually I buy Action brand, this is a Lionel.  After watching the opening race last Saturday (in Daytona), I'm thinkin' here we go again...bad wreck! 

We're getting ready to travel south on March 1st. So, this is a van maintenance weekend :)

So many great things happened on Friday...I finished the 1966 Ford Mustang that my family in Ft. Collins gave me for my birthday, we received a goodie box from Ft. Collins yesterday with LOVE BUGS in it :) (see picture above), and we went to Grand Ronde last night to hear AIR SUPPLY with our friends Jim & Vonnie Lash!
 I took the day off from work and washed both vans and mowed the lawn for the first time this year. I'll try to finish trimming today. Kelly e-mailed us to find out about a box she sent and we received it yesterday - it was a valentine box :)  MY M&M's were in there, and 4 Love Bugs (sooooo cute - thank you girls!), a valentine in a well used box. Thank you for thinking about us - you're too far away :(
Air Supply was super good!!! Carol got us 3rd row, center section seats - way to go!!! You could tell they were tired from traveling from overseas, but they really put on a show. Non-stop almost 2 hours of great songs from the past, and a few new ones (see Youtube).
Gotta go for now...taking Carol and Mom Peters for breakfast.

Hey Kelly, tonight I glued the motor in place. After it dries, I'll do a test fit. Last night I painted the chrome door handles and gas cap. We're almost there!!! I can almost hear it runnin' :)

I'm still working on my 1966 Mustang that Kelly and Etienne sent me! I can't put the body on the frame until the engine is in place. Today I put the left side exhaust manifold on and started installing spark plug wires (they don't come with the kit). After the other side is done, I'll attach the air filter and the chrome fan assembly...and we'll be ready to put it in the frame. I don't know how far we'll get this week...I've got Friday off to go see Air Supply at Grand Ronde, Oregon. Carol got us third row seats!!! This was our TAX weekend. But, it looks like we're giving(federal) and receiving(state). So, it will all even out :) Hope everyone has a great week...will write more soon.

The weather was so nice on Saturday morning that we packed up the dog and a few goodies and took the van to Cannon beach. We wanted to eat lunch at Mo's, but they're renovating / expanding their facility. So we did a quick walk on the beach, then loaded up and headed north to Seaside. Lunch at Pizza Hut...life is good :) The lower two pictures are from Seaside. I washed the cars in the afternoon and played Pinochle with the Lash's in the evening - Great Day! Looking forward to Super Bowl activities!!!
