Here we are , working toward the middle of July already....man, the time flies by in the summer!!! The long weekend was productive, lots of home projects got done. And we managed to work in a BBQ on the 4th with The Lash's. I worked on Wednesday, but hit the road on Thursday for the coast.
Jim & Vonnie came to our house on Thursday a.m. and we went to Grand Ronde for lunch - best buffet in Oregon! Then we kept going west to Lincoln City and checked into Chinook Winds motel.
That evening we had tickets for Air Supply...they were great (like always)!!!

I really like their new song "I Adore You" that Graham Russell wrote. Our room had a great view of the beach and I kept the windows open all night. Love the sound of the waves, the wind, and the birds! Next morning I got up and went for a walk on the beach and took some pictures:

After breakfast we spent some time at the Christmas Cottage in Lincoln City (tradition). Then, made our way back home. Fast trip, but well worth it!

More news and pictures from Oregon soon!

I'm back at work for Patterson Dental...part time shop work and training...2 days a week...5 hours a day! Tuesday and Thursday I go in at 8:00a.m. and I'm off by 1:00p.m. No truck, no computer, no cell phone :)  My stress level is non-existent.

These pics are from the car show yesterday at Grand Ronde, Oregon.
Will post more soon.

Carol and I got home from Denver on Saturday, 27 May around midnight. We used Sunday to unpack, wash clothes and clean the car. Monday was Memorial Day and I was invited to a local car show.

Perfect day...lots of cars (and trucks)! Just gotta love it!

SO...I bought a new computer with Windows 10 and Google wants to run everything...including my blog. It wouldn't let me update my blog so I'm way behind. Here goes:

May 1st was my last day at Patterson Dental as a full time employee. I officially retired and took the month of May off. But, returned to work part-time in the repair shop testing and repairing loaner equipment and will begin working on a new employee training course for repair technicians.

May 17th we loaded the Honda and took off for Ft. Collins, Colorado to attend Mikayla's high school graduation. As we rolled into Evanston, Wyoming highway 80 was closed across the state due to SNOW. Carol and I had to spend an extra night in Evanston (along with approx. 200 truck drivers). Saturday a.m. we got up early and hit the road and got into Ft. Collins an hour before the ceremony.

On Sunday Chris, Don, Mom, Max, and Susan came down from Cheyenne and had lunch at Kelly & Etienne's house in Ft. Collins. On to Denver to see Nancy Dyer and family. Then hopped on a plane on Tuesday a.m. and flew to Phoenix, AZ for Caleb's graduation.

We had a great time eating, laughing, and working on cars :) Graduation was at Cardinal Stadium. We flew back to Denver on Thursday and headed home. There was a quick stop in Boise to see Shay and Michael...love their new house!
Will post more soon!

What a wet couple of weeks for us Portlanders!!! It seems like its never going to stop....but, there's sunlight out today (so far). Last Saturday Carol and I left for the beach and had fairly good weather. We saw lots of tree damage and large trees down due to too much moisture and high winds...very sad! We had to stop at the Christmas Cottage and pick up a few things and then, on to the bowling alley :)  Three of the six lanes were being used. We won't discuss the results of 2 games, but we had fun!

That evening we drove to Grand Ronde and heard Michael Bolton sing all of his old and new songs!!! It was a great concert! Carol looked him up on the internet - he's 64 and going strong. If you get a chance...listen to "Said I Loved You, But I Lied" on Youtube.com. We spent the night in Lincoln City and got up the next morning to sunshine and light winds.

Tomorrow we're going to take Payton to St. Helens for a "clip and grooming". And on Monday we're taking him to Astoria to visit the vet and have a little minor surgery and get his teeth cleaned.

I'll post more soon. Hope all is well...God Bless!

We started a tradition a few years ago...we attend the Portland Auto Show at the convention center with the Lash's. This year we went on Saturday, 28 January. Here's a couple of samples:

It was really fun looking at all the new cars and trucks, etc. The sticker prices were...mostly out of our price range :)  After the show we went to dinner at The Original Taco House, great food!!!
I'll post more stuff soon.

Oh my goodness....It's been so long since I wrote in my blog!!! My camera broke and I didn't replace it until recently...Please forgive me!!!

So, now that it's 2017, I'll statrt with the SNOW Event we had on January 9 through 13th. After the snow fell...the temps fell also. We had temps in the mid-teens after the sun went down and caused the melting snow to freeze. School was out in the Portland area all week. Travel was dicy.

But, the warm up began Saturday and Sunday. Monday I took the day off - MLK Day. Tuesday I was back on the road - Astoria. Roads were wet, but in good shape.

On Saturday, 14 January 2017 Carol and I drove to Grand Ronde and went to see Smokey Robinson...he's 77 next month :)

Tuesday, January 17th was my birthday...THANK YOU to everyone for  Cards and E-Mail!!! I'm officially a Senior - 65 years old!!!

Carol's Yaris is under that blanket of snow :)
Congrat's to Dana and Don - Happy Birthday - 18 January 2017!!! Don't laugh Kelly...you're next !!
